in fact this form active with strong emotions like absolute hate, hunger and other emotions.
It's their natural form which they have a stronger bound to, since they supress most of their feelings in their normal form.
In their true form they are more instinctial, suicidal, protective, aggressive, hungry

Xans could have switched into the form when this child already befriended him and got in some kind of.. genocide?
Like, they can switch any time they want into their true!form but they DON'T want because it's hard for them to hold back, hard for them to act normal.

They have most of the time control when they aren't lead by emotions- and have to fight these emotions.

This scene here would be probably after the trigger event, where True!Xans maybe killed/ate a few people to protect this child- and then he is filled with love and fluff for the kid for a time, acting like a pet to protect it, cuddle and stuff. But since he is still in this form he could also kill this child by accident. Strangle it with hugs, claws or his tail. He could even chomp into the kid, only meaning it playfully or in sudden hunger, not realizing it. They lack of empathy in this form.


Rouul asked if he wouldn't realize if he killed the child and yes: He wouldn't until he changes back. Would even maybe play with the corpse, rolling around and eating it (gonna animate this maybe tomorrow)
